Park wins further lottery funding

Headstone Manor Recreation Ground in Harrow won more than 1 million in funding from the National Lottery Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) in the summer to add play equipment, park furniture and a heritage trail to the site, as well as reviving its historic orchard and restoring its watercourses including Yeading Brook.

Park opens to public

An 18-ha park in South Harrow officially reopened this summer, following a nine-month restoration programme.

A pop-up test restaurant and public square are to be built in Harrow town centre as part of the regeneration of the former Cumberland Hotel site, following a 1 million cash injection from the mayor of London's Good Growth Fund and the private sector.
